Our story

A lifelong Connecticut resident, proud mom to my teenage son, Jackson, and grateful to share life with my boyfriend, Al. Along with balancing a corporate career and family life, I’ve had the privilege of owning Ella for more than 20 years, and Whitfield & Co. is the next chapter of that adventure. Life has taken me on an unexpected journey, including the loss of my husband and living with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic neurological condition that has challenged me in ways I never imagined. Those experiences have shaped how I see the world and remind me every day that today is a present and tomorrow is a gift.

Whitfield & Co. was born from a simple idea: to create a place where shopping feels inspiring, creativity is celebrated, and everyone feels welcome. It’s part boutique, part mercantile, part maker space, and a creative community that will always be evolving. I don’t claim to have all the answers—I’m still learning something new about business every day—but I believe the best ideas come from curiosity, connection, and a willingness to keep growing. More than anything, I’m forever grateful for the people who walk through our doors and become part of this journey.
